Zenith 21: a beginner's guide

Zenith 21 is a decision game. Knowing when to stop is worth more than any single draw.

The idea

You build hands towards 21 without going over. Each decision is whether the next card is worth the risk.

Where the points are

Completed hands score, and hands that land on or close to 21 score best. Busting wastes the whole hand, so the cheapest way to raise your score is usually to bust less often.

Habits that help

  • treat the high totals as stop points, not targets
  • decide before you draw what you will do with a middling card
  • play more hands rather than agonising over one
  • keep a steady rhythm; the clock is short

Common mistakes

Drawing on a decent total to chase a perfect one costs more hands than it wins. Take the score and move on.

Practise it free

A free practice room gives you the same format solo, which is the cheapest way to learn where your stop points should be.
